Senior Vice President

Richard Moon is Senior Vice President of Seneca Commercial Real Estate. He is a New York City–based builder and developer with over 30 years of experience delivering thoughtfully designed hospitality, residential, multifamily, and cultural projects across the United States.

Known for his collaborative, hands-on approach, Richard works closely with world-renowned architects, designers, and discerning clients to bring complex, design-driven projects from concept through completion. His portfolio includes some of the country’s most celebrated hotels and residences, with work widely recognized by The New York Times, Vogue, Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Forbes, and Condé Nast Traveler.

Notable Projects
  • Gramercy Park Hotel, NYC – Ian Schrager
    Oversaw the design, construction, and on-time, on-budget reopening of the 180-room prewar landmark hotel. New restaurant, two bars and rooftop event space.

  • 50 Gramercy Park North, NYC – Ian Schrager
    Led the renovation and expansion of a 17-story annex to the Gramercy Park Hotel, creating 23 luxury condominiums with full hotel amenities. Constructed a dramatic double-height connector linking the hotel and annex, offering panoramic views of the only private park in New York City.

  • The Standard Hotel, Meatpacking District, NYC – André Balazs
    Oversaw the construction and opening of a new 338-room boutique hotel featuring a street-level restaurant and lounge, outdoor beer garden, nightclub, spa, rooftop bar, outdoor ice-skating rink, and more than 3,000 square feet of event space.

  • 301 East 50th Street, NYC – Cook Fox Architects
    Headed the design and construction of a new 30-story, 57-unit luxury condominium tower.

  • The Asbury Hotel, Asbury Park, NJ – Anda Andrei Design
    Led the renovation and expansion of an abandoned Salvation Army rooming house to create the first new hotel in Asbury Park in over 50 years, featuring 110 guest rooms, 3,000 square feet of event space, a rooftop bar and movie theater, pool, and amenities.

  • Vaucluse at Beekman Tower, NYC – Michael White
    Managed the design and served as builder for a newly created 9,000-square-foot, three-level dining and bar experience for Michelin-starred chef Michael White, including two private dining rooms and a 3,500-square-foot kitchen with bakery and butcher shop.

  • Albertine Bookstore, NYC
    Selected by the Government of France to manage the design and construction of the first privately funded French-American bookstore in the United States, housed within the French Embassy at the historic Payne Whitney Mansion.
