Centene Center

Centene Plaza serves as the national headquarters for Centene Corporation which is ranked No. 61 in the Fortune 500 rankings.  Centene providing multi-line managed care serves as an intermediary for both government-funded and privately insured health care programs.  To attract and retain the most talented professionals, it partnered with CRG and Koman Group, where Larry Chapman structured and financed the project to develop Centene’s vision for a contemporary, sustainable, and innovative office building for its own use and for prominent professional organizations and corporations as well. 

Working on a very tightly configured urban site in Clayton, Missouri, the 21 story building and 12 story garage provides 550,000 square feet of Class A office space and a shared public/private garage which is artfully connected via a covered walking path across the plaza linking the two structures.  The plaza and canopy over the connection features artwork by Liam Gillick. Constructed by design builder Clayco, Lamar Johnson Collaborative provided master planning and architectural services.­­­­­­­­­
