The idea of evolving University City from a bedroom community that doesn’t generate much in sales taxes to one that generates more revenue from commercial uses is at the heart of the new Markets at Olive development.
This economic development strategy implemented by city officials is led by Seneca Commercial Real Estate and Clayco and will transform approximately 50 acres along the north and south sides of Olive Boulevard from I-170 to Woodson/McKnight into a commercial corridor.
The first phase of this project includes the development of a 160,430-sq.ft. Costco Wholesale store, which was completed in September 2022.
