Benson Hill Biosystems, a crop improvement company unlocking the natural genetic diversity of plants, today announced its plan to make St. Louis its official headquarters by celebrating a ceremonial groundbreaking at the future site for a 160,000 square foot building, EDGE@BRDG on the Danforth Plant Science Center’s campus, pending finalized local approvals. The company is undergoing rapid growth and selected the 39 North innovation district as the preferred location to serve as an integral part of a broader agtech corridor.

ST. LOUIS (Dec. 6, 2019) – As part of the expansion plan for Benson Hill, a crop improvement company, Seneca Commercial Real Estate is in the process of completing the EDGE@BRDG (BioResearch & Development Growth (BRDG) Park) building and will host a topping out celebration. Located on the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center’s campus, the 160,000-square-foot headquarters building will continue to position 39 North as a leading innovation district focused on agtech. The new facility is expected to house as many as 300 employees.

A food truck garden is coming to St. Louis next year.

In Spring 2020, Missouri’s first food truck garden, called 9 Mile Garden, will open at 9375 Gravois Road within Affton Plaza. The area will be open six days a week and feature a daily rotation of food trucks open for lunch and dinner services.
